Matthieu Lloyd

Chief Executive Officer

Matthieu Lloyd is a pharmacist by profession, having completed his MBA from Stellenbosch University. He has almost 20 years’ experience in various sectors within the pharmaceutical value chain including community pharmacy, sterile manufacturing, NPO supply chain, medical affairs and corporate L&A experience.

Matthieu has a passion for growth through entrepreneurial mindset, developing meaningful partnerships and a keen eye for attractive investment opportunities.

Marlene Venter

Financial manager

Marlene Venter is Chartered Accountant (SA) with 10+ years’ experience in financial management, audit, and tax across property, pharmaceutical, and professional services.

Her background includes senior finance roles at Oosthuyse Agri Corporation, Atterbury Management Services and Ernst & Young, and progressive audit and advisory experience at Logista CA(SA). Sha has managed consolidated reporting, budget and cash-flow forecasting, audit engagements, VAT/PAYE submissions, and provisional tax strategy — always with a focus on clarity, compliance, and measurable improvement.

She enjoys coaching teams and building robust processes so finance functions deliver timely insights that help owners and executives make better decisions.

Pieter Herman

API Trader

Pieter Herman, former Managing Director of Alura Pharma, will focus on establishing this new division within the company. Pieter attended CPHI 2024 in Milan, Italy, as well as CPHI 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany, where he built strong relationships with international suppliers of APIs, excipients, and minerals.

CPHI is recognised as the foremost international gathering in the pharmaceutical sector.

Pieter is well known for his strong networking ability and will concentrate on sourcing and supplying scheduled substances for the South African market.

Magdalie Conradie

Responsible Pharmacist

Magdalie Conradie’s dedication to patient care and pharmaceutical excellence began early in her career, rooted in practical experience gained within local community pharmacies. She obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from North-West University in 2013 and has since developed extensive experience across both the retail and public hospital sectors.

For nearly a decade, Magdalie served as a Clinical Pharmacist at Pharmacy Direct, where she built a strong reputation for clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and meticulous attention to detail.

In her current role as Responsible Pharmacist at Alura Pharmaceuticals, Magdalie applies her clinical expertise to support the management of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and ensure compliance with ISO 13485 standards for medical devices. Her role bridges patient-centred pharmaceutical care with the operational and regulatory requirements of a modern pharmaceutical warehouse environment.
